I absolutely love this time of year - chilly weather, warm knitwear, roaring fires and crisp, clear weather.

One winter warmer that I’ve never really enjoyed however is mulled wine. Despite trying it time and time again, I just don’t enjoy the taste!

But last nigh I finally discovered an antidote to my warmed alcoholic beverage cravings in the form of Rekorderlig’s warm winter cider. Fruity, sweet and slightly spicy, it makes for the perfect winter drink.

My posts have become so infrequent and for this I apologise. My life has been piled into a variety of suitcases over the last few weeks and it has taken all of my focus and energy just to keep my head from exploding in a flurry of confusion and frustration.

Needless to say I feel a bit nomadic and the sense of not really belonging anywhere or having anywhere to make my own has thrown me more than I ever believed it would.

Despite this, however, I’ve been working for the last three weeks - woo! - and have also taken up blogging (albeit occasionally) again.

Have no fear though, the moment my semi-employed status ends I’ll be all over this bad boy like white on rice.

I am definitely a bird.

I am definitely a bird.

Working like a demon.

Loads going on which is always fun, but living away from London is proving to be far more complicated than I first thought it would be.

Going to see the just-turned-on Christmas lights on Oxford Street tomorrow. While I promised myself not to fall prey to the ridiculously early festive marketing, I can’t resist the bright twinkle lights that have begun to bedazzle our streets.

Movember starts again soon. I can’t wait. Not only do I whole-heartedly support the initiative and motivation behind the charity, I also enjoy having a good chuckle at all the various comical facial hair that suddenly crops up.
